Lupus International was pleased to offer a Pediatric Symposium, " Growing up
with Lupus" on October 27, 2007 at UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, CA.
Beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m., the day was filled with a variety
of topics led by renowned physicians from UCLA's pediatric Rheumatology
department. Topics covered were:" What does it mean to be a kid with lupus
SLE", "Why are the kidney's so important", "Socializing", "Nutrition and
lupus" and "Your future", plus many more. Attenance was high and the event
was extremely well received. Lupus International looks forward to
providing more symposiums for children and their families in the future.
A sincere thank you to Dr. Deborah Mc Curdy, chief of UCLA's Pediatric
Rheumatology Department, and her staff for preparing and organizing this
event along with Lupus International.
