In this section you will learn about the latest trends in lupus research, the foundation activities and have access to video broadcasts. The search for a cure is ever evolving. Here is where you will learn to decipher the direction researchers are taking, how that will affect the search for a cure and what possible new treatments may be available.

We have funded research projects in search of novel therapies and a cure for lupus. We are pleased the pool funding we participated in resulted in two of these projects receiving a 2003 $50 million NIH grant to share with four other research studies on autoimmune diseases. In addition, the foundation has funded three pediatric rheumatology fellows, who have also assisted in research projects. With technological advances, the hope of developing improved treatments and finding a cure are within reach.
